Last year I was lucky enough to spend some time with the team at Wattbike to learn more about the benefits of training on the Wattbike and how it compares to other indoor bikes.
Recently RG Active coaches John and Marsha travelled to the Wattbike science lab for a day of advanced training to learn how the science can be used to help all of the RG Active client base that are looking to improve their cycling strength, speed and efficiency. After the visit Wattbike pieced together a blog about RG Active’s visit and we thought it would be a great idea to share it with you all.
If you have had a busy summer of racing now should be a time of REST and RECOVERY. I will always recommend athletes having at least TWO WEEKS OFF after their last race of the summer season. Triathletes especially, have a hard time slowing down and having time off, but you benefit hugely from some time off before you begin the long winter BASE MILES that start the PREPARATION for next season.
After your last race at the end of the summer it is always a good idea to have 1-4 weeks off, and this gives your body a chance to recovery after the summer season and the time off always makes getting back into training so much better because you really begin to miss the buzz of the sessions and the racing!

Hello Everyone, I have just received a number of emails from some of you about the announcement from Humanrace about this weekend’s King Sturge triathlon, Timex Women’s Only triathlon and the Steelman triathlon races all being held at Eton this weekend. I understand the organiser’s reason for this, the rules do state that water temperature […]
Hello Everyone, It has been a while since I was last writing on my BLOG. A lot has been happening since returning home from Lanzarote and not all of it good. With our little one ‘Pee Wee’ having to have his appendix removed and then my Grandma having a stroke we spent the best part […]
Hello everyone, “I am an Ironman!” As many of you saw from the ironman.com website where you were following Marsha and my progress on race day, we both crossed the line on Saturday evening. Marsha completing her second Ironman and me completing my first! I did think about writing this yesterday but it would not […]
