“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring” – Desmond Tutu There is no doubting the idyllic island of Majorca is one of the best places for any […]
If you did not know the London Ride 100 Cycle event takes place this Sunday and after speaking with TFL (transport for London) and the Surrey CC I have had to accept that is not not a good idea to go ahead with this Sunday’s brick session in Richmond Park.
The runners started off at 10am, then the duathletes next at 10:15. The first 10k run was actually quite pleasant. It was a rolling course through woods, across fields and along a high ridge where the rain seemed to hit us the hardest. I ran steady but happy, very happy to be running again on my ankle which I unfortunately sprained badly several weeks ago (this is the thus yet calmest manner in which I’ve spoken about it – see earlier posts for more ranting).
Like all of Giro’s designs the Savant is immediately comfortable, and light too, at just 260g (L). To fit, the helmet uses the company’s newest Roc Loc 5 dial ratchet system. This has a three-point vertical adjustment and a tiny dial that’s easy to adjust while riding, even with gloves on.
Recently RG Active coaches John and Marsha travelled to the Wattbike science lab for a day of advanced training to learn how the science can be used to help all of the RG Active client base that are looking to improve their cycling strength, speed and efficiency. After the visit Wattbike pieced together a blog about RG Active’s visit and we thought it would be a great idea to share it with you all.
We were picked up at 06:30am from the Hotel by RG Active Majorca based friend Harry picked us up to take us to Alcudia where the race was taking place. The day was looking good, the weather was calm and still and there was not a ripple on the water as we drove from Pollensa to Alcudia along the coast road.
Yes, I am nervous…… I always get nervous.
I get nervous before the Richmond Park 5km races and I am definitely nervous about tomorrow. But don’t think this is a bad thing to get nervous, I think of it as a very positive thing.
